Since she made her debut on the British charts in 2013 with a spare deconstruction of Rufus & Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody,” and attracted more than 1.2 million YouTube subscribers, London-born singer-songwriter Jasmine Thompson has become something of a muse to a host of DJs and EDM producers. German DJ Felix Jaehn was so inspired by Thompson’s version of the classic R&B hit that he created a remix, which climbed to No. 5 on the Top US Viral 50 Spotify Chart and has become an international iTunes chart-topper. (Jaehn has called her “a talented and rising superstar.”) Multi-platinum DJ/producer Avicii is also a fan and personally asked Thompson to cover his single “The Days.” Thompson’s version is a wistfully elegant piano ballad that Avicii has called “breathtaking” on Twitter. It has racked up more than 1.7 million views on YouTube. Thompson’s crystalline vocals have also captured the attention of Kygo and Naughty Boy, as well as Passenger, who, after Thompson posted a cover of his track “Let Her Go,” mentioned her in aninterview with Billboard saying “she’s got an incredible voice and is going to be a massive star.” Her cover of “Let Her Go” has attracted over 21 million YouTube views.

In 2014, Thompson caught the ear of another German DJ/producer, Robin Schulz, who tapped her to feature on his track “Sun Goes Down,” which has become a Top 10 international dance hit with a video that has attracted more than 68 million YouTube views and counting. “Jasmine's vocals on ‘Sun Goes Down’ were a perfect accompaniment to my production,” Schulz says. “Her voice has a global sensibility and the potential to reach the world." For her part, Thompson says: “That was the first time that I heard myself on a dance track. I liked how the sound was different from the style of my covers, which are very stripped-down with just piano and vocals. It was a great feeling to know that I could branch out into the dance world and not just stay in the piano ballad world.”

Thompson’s affinity for sparkling dance-pop can be heard in her debut single “Adore,” which melds her breathy, emotionally resonant delivery with a pulsating electronic buoyancy. Though “Adore” could be interpreted as a straight-up love song, for Thompson, the lyrics reflect her relationship with music. “The chorus is, ‘I adored you / Before I laid my eyes on you,’ which for me is about how music was there for me even before I realized I wanted to be a singer,” she says.

Born to a Chinese mother and English father, both computer engineers, Thompson began singing and playing piano at age eight. “My brother had singing and piano lessons and I used to sit and watch,” she says. “I kept joining in with him and my brother would get really annoyed, so my mom got me my own lessons so he could learn in peace.” Neither of Thompson’s parents is musical, but she remembers hearing them play albums by The Beatles and U2 around the house when she was growing up. Once Thompson began discovering her own music, she gravitated toward such artists as Adele, Florence + the Machine, and James Blake. “I also recently started listening to Carole King,” she says. “She is proof that you don’t need to belt to be a powerful singer. I also love Adele, who does belt, and has so much emotion in her voice. You feel what she’s feeling when she sings.”

Thompson began posting cover videos to YouTube when she was ten and hit No. 32 on the U.K. Singles chart with “Ain’t Nobody” after her version was featured in a TV commercial for British supermarket chain Sainsbury’s. Encouraged by the response, Thompson self-released two EPs (Under The Willow Tree and Take Cover) and two albums (Bundle of Tantrums and Another Bundle of Tantrums). In June 2014, she toured the U.K. and got her first taste of performing for a large audience, which has been good training for performing with Robin Schulz and Felix Jaehn on such European television shows as MTV Live Sessionsin Dusseldorf and NRJ Fashion Night.

Now signed to Atlantic Records, Thompson spent several weeks in New York and Los Angeles earlier this year working on songs that will be featured on her upcoming Adore EP, collaborating with such songwriters as Jesse Shatkin (Sia), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran),Josh Grant and Scott Harris (Shawn Mendes), and Emily Warren (Jessie J). Each of the songs delivers an uplifting, empowering message bolstered by bright melodies and gently urgent rhythms. On “Let Myself Try” Thompson finds herself feeling scared of failure but encouraged to keep going. On “Do It Now,” she urges the listener to accept what can’t be changed, learn from it, and move on. “Loud and Clear” is about spending time in someone else’s shadow but eventually finding your voice and standing up for yourself. And “Crystal Heart” is about feeling afraid to open up to people for fear of being judged, but ultimately realizing it’s a healthy thing to do. “I am drawn to writing about what’s happened to me, but I want my songs to feel universal so that others can connect with them,” she says. “Because when that happens, it makes a song 10 times better.”

RF Online, originally named 'Rising Force', (Korean: 라이징 포스) is a 3D MMORPG developed by CCR. The first version of the game was released in South Korea and was later followed by Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Indonesia, Portuguese and English translations. The North American/European version of the game launched its retail phase on February 21, 2006. A mixture of science fiction and classic fantasy, RF Online is set in a distant planet in the Novus system where magic exists alongside high technology. Like most MMORPGs it follows the typical fantasy setting complete with swords and sorcery, but it also emphasizes the three-way Race vs. Race vs. Race (RvRvR) concept and modern/futuristic technology such as mecha and nuclear weapons.
The NA/EU game service was brought down as of November 9, 2008, due to licence expiration. However, the developers, CCR have started to relaunch the game hosting it themselves for NA/EU. In August 2012, RF Online was confirmed to relaunch stateside via the publisher GamesCampus. RFO is currently a free-to-play game. RF Online version 1.5 launched via the publisher GamesCampus Europe in April 2013.

Gameplay

As with many MMORPGs, the player will select one race and fight monsters to gain experience points. RFO is populated with many different monsters across many areas.
At the start of the game, a character will be led through an in-game guide of the basic commands for the game. From there, the character will be exposed to a series of quests which will familiarize him/her with their character's headquarters. As the character progresses in level, his/her quests may take them out to aggressive maps, where he/she will be exposed to the player killing Features of the game. One quest given in the Sette Desert on low levels makes players aware of constant presence and danger of enemy races.

Races

There are 3 character races which the player can choose: Bellato, Cora and Accretia. each having a unique race specialty.
Bellato are small elves which use Light Force (magic that includes healing and support buffs), physical combat, and ranged combat. Their race specialty is MAU (massive armor units). Goliath(melee class MAU) and Catapult(ranged class MAU) type, usable by Engineer character class.
Cora are elves which use Dark Force (including strong offensive debuffs and buffs), physical combat, and ranged combat.Their race specialty are Animus, summoned creatures that provides offence(Isis and Hecate animus), defence(Paimon animus) or support(Inana, healer animus) usable by Summoner character class. Later patch enables Cora engineer to summon smaller and weaker versions of these animus.
Accretia are Cyborgs which do not use Force. They are balanced between physical combat and ranged combat. With their technology level they specialize in rocket launchers(usable by all Accretian class), siege kits(Striker class are specialized in using rocket launchers and siege kits) and grenade launchers(enables use of buffs and debuffs, but Engineer class can use higher level grenade launchers).
Every race has their own special sub-classes of characters to play based on warrior, ranger, specialist and each race's special classes. It is also possible to cross-class a character within the races for a wide variety of options.

Economy

The game's economy can be divided into two parts - production and consumption. The mine is a new field where resources are produced as a part of and in support of economic activity. Mining for minerals and processing the products of these produce many kinds of items. These form the basis for conflict within the mines.

Chip War

The battle for resources is actualized in an all-out war among the three races termed as Chip War. Chip War happens three times in a day, where the winning race obtains the right to control the guardian of the mines - the dreaded Holystone Keeper.
The war is led by the respective racial leaders, whose goal is to break at least one control chip owned by the opposing race. Once broken, the player who has dealt the last blow on the chip must touch base at the center of the mine caverns, to earn his race an extra 60 minutes of mining time guarded by the Holystone Keeper.
As of Episode 2, Giga 1 (Crimson Dawn), the Holystone Keeper will be vulnerable for 30 minutes after a control chip has been broken. The winning race must defend the guardian, or risk losing his guardianship over players who will opt to mine for resources until the next chip war. In addition, only characters who have been able to obtain a HolyMental Scanner during the battle will be recognized by the guardian as a valid member of the controlling race. Connectivity issues, however, have been seen to cause problems with this new feature.

PVP

Unlike most MMORPGs, RF Online revolves around PvP (Player vs Player). Only the racial headquarters, the settlement towns and select portal locations, are considered as safe areas from enemy races. Player killing comes into play because of the battle for resources between the three races. By default, opposing races members may engage in combat at any point in time on aggressive maps. Same race players may not engage in combat, unless by virtue of an item called the Chaos Potion, or during a special in-race competition called the Guild Circle Zone Scramble, also known as Guild Wars.

Permainan ini berpusat pada konflik 3 bangsa untuk memperebutkan ''resource'' yang berharga yaitu tambang agar untuk memakmurkan bangsa tersebut dan bertempur untuk menaklukan seluruh jagad. Ada 3 ras yang ada pada permainan ini:
* Acretia Empire: Accretia adalah ras cyborg. Sekarang mereka mempunyai tujuan untuk menguasai dunia. Tubuh metal mereka adalah yang paling kuat di dalam permainan dan mempunyai teknologi canggih, tetapi mereka tidak bisa memakai [[sihir]]. Ras ini mendirikan kekaisaran, yaitu ''Acretia Empire''.

Accretia adalah otak organik yang memiliki tubuh mekanik. Bukan merupakan Robot yang bergerak dengan program, namun mereka patuh pada aturan, aturan untuk mencapai kesempurnaan. Walaupun Sikap individualis tidak diperbolehkan, kesadaran diri tetap ada; Perkumpulan Accretia tidak terlihat seperti pikiran yang menyatu. Mereka diciptakan dan di didik untuk evolusi dalam satu kesatuan. * Bellato Union: Bellato Union merupakan bangsa petualang yang memiliki ilmu pengetahuan yang tinggi. Dalam menjalani petualangannya, bangsa Bellato banyak didukung dengan berbagai macam teknologi. Bellato mampu membuat Massive Armor Unit (MAU) dan senjata untuk dipergunakan dalam peperangan. Tingkat gravitasi yang tinggi di planet asal Bellato membuat tubuh mereka pendek, tetapi fisik mereka cukup kuat dan pandai. Bellato juga merupakan ahli ekonomi dan berdagang. Keserakahan telah mendorong mereka untuk pergi ke planet lainnya, untuk menjajah dan mendapatkan resources lebih. Untuk memperluas sampai akhir alam semesta, Bellato ingin memastikan bahwa Sektor Novus tidak jatuh dalam kekuasaan Accretia atau Cora. Keinginan untuk tumbuh dan berkembang pasti akan membuat alam semesta diliputi kekacauan.

Kekalahan ini disebabkan oleh Armor Unit tidak di design untuk kondisi geografis planet Novus, setelah itu hak untuk memproduksi diberikan kepada penduduk Novus, kemudian Armor Unit di desain ulang supaya cocok di planet Novus.

Decem has created the world to turn oblivion into beauty, and the Corites to enforce his will. Knowing they are the chosen race, Corites have organized their society accordingly to their faith in their god. Everything they do in “This Life” is to ascend to a high station or being, gaining them a closer relationship with their god. It is evident that those who do enforce His will are granted more powers, abilities and become stronger in the use of the Darkling Force, the most precious gift Decem has made to His children.

Decem states that Corites must not harm the planet or any planets they inhabit, that they must insure its well being and take care of it, for harming the planet would be harming Decem himself. Corites are permitted only to use the resources they need to expand and move on to help fulfil the will of Decem. They do all things within nature, heightening it in its vast beauty. The Corites refine metals with the Darkling Force, combining alloys without causing pollution to create their items and weapons. All of their items are technologies empowered by the Darkling force.

Corite clothing and armours are made from nothing but natural materials, the clothing they wear is loose and allows for a lot of flexibility. It is the Corites’ belief that their bodies are a shrine to Decem, for he created them. Corites hold beauty with a lot of value, and take care of their bodies and hygene extremely well. They love and respect their bodies as to act in perfect unison within Decem.

All foods and consumables eaten by the Corites must be blessed by Decem before they eat them. In accordance with their beliefs, all the food they ingest is to be completely natural wholesome foods grown specifically by the Corites for the purpose of eating, using only natural means to create the sustenance which they require to survive.

The Accretian Empire follows a totalitarian regime where goals are for the Empire, a thought that is embraced by its followers. There is no feeling when it comes to the destruction of other races and for good reason, for the Accretia are a race of mechanised units with a materialistic thinking. The Accretia are proud to be the strongest and most formidable race in the galaxy, and are proud of the huge weapons they have created to kill men, women and all things living. Their need to expand to the further reaches of the universe to become even stronger is paramount and a key driving force to their being. This has inevitably led them to the Planet Novus and the arcane civilisations it plays home to.

» Background Story

Accretians are organic brains merged into mechanical bodies… Not being mere robots acting accordingly to a rigid piece of software, they are to obey a motive, and that motive is the pursuit of perfection.

While individualism is not promoted, and not even tolerated, self-consciousness does remain; the Accretian society is not to be seen as a hive or a collective mind. The way they are created, educated and indoctrinated makes the Accretians solely concerned by the evolution of the society as a whole. However, perfection at a higher level can only be achieved through perfection at an individual level.

Accretians are the direct descendants of the EMC researchers, the humans who gave birth to Bellateans and Corites through their experiments. Thriving on that heritage, they have brought the intelligence and dedication to science of their ancestors up to new levels.

Accretian culture is all about science and rational thinking. That makes them seek relentlessly for knowledge and rational explanations and solutions to problems, at every level. Be it a soldier learning tactics from past skirmishes or a leading scientist searching new cloning methods by the study of other races’ anatomy.

The Accretian army, being fully mechanised has very few needs, it does however require constant maintenance. Apart from this downtime for repairs, the Accretian army is quite self-sufficient; their robotic bodies completely self sustaining and replenishing their energy and bodily functions where required.

However the human brain inside of the Accretians cybernetic bodies does need to rest every once in a while, the brain is incapable of being on alert constantly without suffering from fatigue, thus when needed to, the Accretians will shut down and ‘rest’ to recover . Despite this biological need to rest, an Accretian are still far stronger than it would be if still in human form. Their metallic bodies also grant the Accretian populace a far superior regeneration capability then that of the Bellateans or the Corites.

RF Online : Bellato Intro

The Bellato Union utilise machines and some magic in their culture. Renowned for their great mechanical minds, intelligence and hand-eye coordination, the Bellato can construct huge armoured battle mechs and weapons to use in the war. Though they are physically strong and intelligent, the huge gravitational energies from their home planet have left the Bellato with smaller builds. The Bellato are experienced traders and their financial minds and greed have driven the need to extend out to other planets, to colonize and claim resource. To expand to the rest of the universe, the Bellato have to ensure that the Novus Sector doesn't fall under the supremacy of the Accretia or Cora. This desire to expand and grow will no doubt leave the galaxy engulfed in turmoil and chaos.

» Background Story

The mechanized equipment was initially produced for use in scientific progression, and was used on construction sites in the past and not for battle purposes. As the technology progressed, more diverse types of armour equipment were mass-produced and as the armour unit became more established it was placed into live battle zones.

Those early battles featuring the armoured machines saw some impressive victories for the federation. This led to the national defence expenditure increasing, with the army gearing towards producing more of the armour units. However, in the course of the Novus War, the armour unit’s previous criminal records coupled with a series of defeats in battle to the Accretian launcher units, saw the internal position of the unit's effectiveness within the army weakened. These defeats where largely as a result of the armoured units not being designed in consideration of the geographical features of the Novus Planet, but after the rights to manufacture was handed over to the civilian contractors, they were remodelled to suit the landscape of Novus.

As the efficiency of the armour units dropped due to the huge operational costs involved, the federation’s peace committee decided to close down the armour unit group. The armoured units can be divided into two types; one constructed as a field style unit and the other as a siege warfare unit. The Siege unit was very complicated to produce and required vast amounts of consumable resources, more than the federation could really sustain. The Field Armour unit in contrast was better suited to mass production as it was possible to produce them economically and for this reason they are more widely available. The committee then became unsure as to how to dispose of the units, so they decided that the civilians could dispose and trade the units at a low price, but a law was passed due to the powerful firepower of the units to ensure that they were not used outside of the army.
